PIT TURBINES
Developed specifically for pit turbines, these gears are of robust, compact design and are around 99% efficient. They feature double helical gearing optimized for this particular application, anti-friction bearings and perfectly-matched oil lubrication. In conjunction with a gear system support halfway along the shaft, an intelligent fin design transfers forces from the turbine directly to the foundations. As a result, flexural stresses in the housing are avoided, and excellent tooth meshing is guaranteed even at maximum load.
