Chassis Gearboxes

Chassis gearboxes are stressed differently due to specific loads, such as continuous acceleration and deceleration, reverse operation and wheel slippage. These operating states influence the choice of gears, while taking into account suitable design factors and optimized gearing for static strength, which is particularly important if the wheels slip.

The gears are designed as 2-stage or 3-stage vertical spur gears in accordance with catalogue dimensions and DIN 15053. Depending on requirements, the gear system can be selected as a pedestal or three-point bearing, with bevel gears available as an option for changing the direction of travel.

Advantages

Performance-focused design

Choosing between Eisenbeiss design or DIN 15053 provides the optimal gear system for the application in question in terms of size and power density.

Reliability

The gears are designed and selected to take into account acceleration moments and wheel slip, as well as application-specific factors and safety reserves.

Custom adaptation

In addition to the choice between pedestal and 3-point versions, Eisenbeiss offers the option of adding custom components such as motor brackets and bevel gear stages to change the direction of travel. There is also the option to integrate cardan shaft clutches into the package.

Applications

Cranes
