Single-Drive Gears for Cold Rolling Mills

Eisenbeiss single-drive gears are characterized by their compact design in horizontal or vertical format. The high power density of double helical gearing makes it possible to transfer up to 6 MW, even with a pinion spacing of just 400 mm.

The use of open-die forging shafts means that no shaft/hub collar connection is required in the gear unit. This ensures that no key is squashed or splined shaft connection is damaged in the event of a strip break, which further increases the durability of the gear system.

In addition, Eisenbeiss always uses proprietary brand bearings with solid cages so we are able to supply long-lasting, robust stand drives for tandem mills or reversing mills up to a service life of 100,000 hours. Lubrication is carried out by a forced lubrication system, which is connected to the central lubrication system.
