Changeable-Speed Gear System
Changeable-speed gearboxes have a wide range of applications in the steel and aluminium industries and serve the overall goal of covering a much larger range of products in one process step. Eisenbeiss has developed a special series of gearboxes for this purpose, which can be flexibly integrated into various types of gear systems, such as pinion gears, coiler gears, high-speed gears and (helical) spur gears of all types.
The Eisenbeiss changeable-speed gear system is specifically designed to reliably transmit high torques at high speeds while adsorbing application-specific loads, such as shocks and vibrations. This is ensured by an optimized design of the gearshift bearing, toothing, lubrication and the actuation system.
