Converter Tilting Drive
The way converter tilting drives operate entails special challenges. Limited tilting angles, very low tilting speeds and load handling during tilting require a robust and precise gear system design. During oxygen injection, severe vibrations and shocks occur, which can be transferred to the gear system when stationary and generate additional stress as a result.
Eisenbeiss matches these requirements with an extremely robust construction. Our gears are equipped with deformation-resistant welded housings. In addition, the greasing systems are specially adapted to these special operating conditions. Depending on requirements and the size of converter, the gear system can be delivered as shaft-mounted unit or with a pinion shaft for the main drive wheel.

Advantages
Fail-safe
Emergency operation is ensured by integrating a pneumatic motor that is connected to the drive train by a drive chain. This allows the converter to be safely emptied in the event of a power failure.
Robustness against shocks
In order to withstand the high stress loads and vibrations that occur when oxygen is blown in, Eisenbeiss has engineered optimized toothing and a special lubrication sys-tem.
Optimized overall concept
Eisenbeiss offers custom-built solutions that take into account a high level of stand-ardization to ensure flexibility and reliability.
