Helical Bevel Gears for open-flume Turbines
In many cases, older hydroelectric power stations are housed in listed buildings. This means that structural changes are not possible. When modernizing power stations with open-flume turbines, it is therefore often necessary to adapt the gear system design to the site conditions, in particular with regard to where the generator is installed.
The gear system series specially developed by Eisenbeiss takes account of these requirements, and the generator can be positioned horizontally by means of a bevel gear. The lubrication system is mounted on the gear unit, creating a compact unit that can be installed on the existing system with minimal effort.
