Pinion Gears for Rolling Mills
The horizontal and vertical drives on steel profile and steel rod mills are subject to a number of highly specific requirements. With decades of experience, Eisenbeiss has developed its own series of gear systems to optimally meet the requirements of these applications.
Eisenbeiss “Heavy-Plus” gear toothing is specially designed to safely absorb torque peaks and impacts. Equipped with specifically developed toothing and carefully selected bearing concepts, the gears transmit the load to the housing, which features optimally designed gussets using FE calculations. The harsh ambient conditions, such as exposure to cooling water, dust and scale, are reliably kept at bay by labyrinth seals to ensure safe operation and prevent oil leakage.
Thanks to a high degree of standardization, Eisenbeiss enables short delivery times and rapid project implementation. The gear measurement sheets for horizontal and vertical pinion gears as well as all relevant technical data are available to our customers for planning at short notice.
Where plants are being modernized, the existing equipment layout usually remains as-is. The standardized gear systems from Eisenbeiss can be flexibly adapted by the highly qualified engineering team without having to change the existing equipment layout. As a result, overall investment costs can be significantly reduced.
